How the game works

FreeCheckersOnline.com is a static browser game. It does not create accounts, provide a game server, or ask you to submit personal information through a form. The checkers game runs in your browser. Its computer opponent runs in a browser worker on your device.

The site does not collect or send your board position, moves, game mode, or difficulty to us. There is no online multiplayer connection.

Game data stored in your browser

When browser storage is available, the game saves your board state, mode, difficulty, and any in-progress capture chain in local storage on that device and browser. It uses this data to restore the game after a refresh. The data remains until you clear this site's browser storage or the browser removes it.

Choosing New game resets the current board, but does not delete the saved local-storage entry. You can clear site data in your browser settings to remove it; doing so also removes the saved game. If storage is blocked or unavailable, you can continue playing in the current tab, but a refresh will not restore the position.

Analytics, advertising, and cookies

This site can offer optional Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity when those services are configured for the deployment. Neither analytics script loads until you choose “Accept analytics.” If you reject, they remain off. When enabled, Google Analytics may process page views and general browser, device, and approximate location information. Clarity may process clicks and scrolling and create heatmaps or session recordings. These services may use cookies or similar identifiers under their own terms.

The whole page, including the board and game status, is marked for masking in Clarity recordings. The site does not send game moves, board positions, or your contact email as custom analytics events. Google Analytics advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are denied; this site does not use analytics for advertising. Hosting and delivery providers may still process technical request data, such as an IP address, browser details, requested page, and request time, for delivery and security under their own terms.

The game itself does not make network requests to send gameplay data. The site does not embed third-party games, videos, or external fonts.

Your analytics choice

When browser storage is available, your choice is saved in this browser's local storage. If local storage cannot save it, the site tries session storage for this tab. Use “Privacy settings” in the footer to accept or reject optional analytics later. Withdrawing acceptance signals denial to the analytics tools, disables further Google Analytics collection from this page, clears Google Analytics cookies set for this site where possible, and reloads the page. If both storage options fail, the withdrawal reload adds a temporary same-site opt-out marker so analytics stay off for that page load. The prompt may return after navigation or in a new tab. Withdrawal does not remove information already sent to Google or Microsoft; contact those providers about information they hold.

Email and contact

If you choose to contact the site at [email protected], the email provider receives your message, and we receive the sender address and message so we can read and respond. Avoid including passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information in a support message.
